PATIENTS OF SKIN & ALLERGY CENTER
April 20th, 2020
Dear Patients of Skin & Allergy Center,
All of us here at Skin & Allergy Center are closely monitoring the latest developments surrounding COVID-19 and are taking numerous precautions to ensure that our clinics remain a safe place for you and your family to receive healthcare.
Here are 3 changes we have made to increase the safety of our clinic environments and help limit the spread of COVID-19 within our communities.
We are now offering TeleMedicine visits for new and established patients. A telemedecine visit is a face-to-face video conference with your physician or provider. This type of visit allows you to engage with your provider from the safety and comfort of home. If you have an upcoming appointment, or if you are scheduling a new visit, you may request that your appointment be scheduled as a Telemedicine visit. To find out more information, please read our FAQ’s web page. To sign up and schedule a virtual consultation, please read our TeleMedecine Appointment web page.
To minimize exposure to our patients we are asking all our physicians and staff screening questions prior to their scheduled clinics to identify those who are at risk of COVID-19. We are also asking all patients and visitors screening questions prior to and at the time of their arrival. The screenings for all providers, staff, patients & visitors include a temperature check.
As medical professionals, our most serious concern is for people who are immunocompromised or suffer from other serious health problems. To ensure these patients can be seen in the healthiest and safest possible environment, if you suspect that you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms of a lower respiratory illness (fever + cough, fever + shortness of breath, new or worse-than-normal cough), please call our office and allow us to reschedule your visit so that our patients and staff can avoid any potential contact.
Be assured that all Skin & Allergy employees are following the protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Please see the CDC link below for additional information: CDC: Coronavirus disease 2019.
We will continue to closely monitor all aspects of the COVID-19 situation, and will update any changes on our website and Facebook page.
We at Skin & Allergy Center consider it a blessing and a privilege to have earned your trust when it comes to treating your skin and allergy conditions. We will continue to do everything in our power to treat our patients to the very best of our ability while also providing a safe place for everyone to get their medical care.
