Meet the Doctors

Meet Dr. Chris Robb

Cosmetic Dermatology Specialist

Chris W. Robb, MD Ph.D., FAAD, is a co-founder of Skin and Allergy Center and SAC Cosmetic, with three locations in central Tennessee.

He did his undergraduate work at Baylor University and received a Ph.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Microbiology and Immunology, where he focused his work on molecular biology and infectious diseases.

Dr. Robb earned his MD from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 2003 and finished the Internal Medicine portion of his training at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

Dr. Robb completed a Dermatology Residency at Vanderbilt University, where he served as chief resident in his final year.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Robb is also a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Lincoln Memorial University DCOM.

Dr. Robb is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon who performs medical and surgical dermatology, MOHs surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. He also participates in research efforts focusing on the physiologic effects of lasers on the skin.

Dr. Robb has a national and international reputation as a leader in the field of lasers and cosmetics and teaches cosmetic lasers to doctors in Tennessee and nearly every state in the United States but also areas as distant as France, The Netherlands, Dubai, Russia, Australia, Canada, and Thailand.

He is affiliated with Williamson Medical Center, Maury Regional Hospital, St. Thomas Hospital, and Vanderbilt University.

Meet Dr. Ben Hayes

Medical Dermatology Specialist

Dr. Ben Hayes is a co-founder of the Skin & Allergy Center, and his expertise and interest in dermatology are wide-ranging and include general dermatology, skin cancer, dermatopathology, contact allergic rashes, psoriasis, and eczema.

He did his undergraduate work at Davidson College and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Immunology and Pharmacology. He pursued his medical degree at Boston University Medical School, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national honor society. He then completed a dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Finally, he went to the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a fellowship in dermatopathology.

Dr. Hayes is board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, National Psoriasis Society, American Contact Dermatitis Society, and Nashville Dermatology Society.

In addition to his busy professional career, he is married to the love of his life, Laura, and they are blessed with four wonderful children–Madison, Jackson, Annabelle, and Sullivan.

Our Team

Amanda Amick, PA-C

Amanda Amick is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. Amanda grew up here in Middle Tennessee & graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 from MTSU. From there she obtained her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010 from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Before coming to Skin & Allergy Center Amanda worked in Emergency Medicine & Urgent Care. She manages both general & cosmetic dermatology patients. Amanda enjoys spending time outside with her husband & two boys and is an active member of AAPA and TAPA.

Angela Higgins, PA-C

Angela is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with 19 years of experience in Dermatology. After graduating from Eagleville High School, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from MTSU. She earned her Master of Science in Medicine degree at Trevecca Nazarene University Physician Assistant program. Being a Physician Assistant in Dermatology allows her to take care of the skin care needs of all age groups.

Angela enjoys precepting potential and current PA students. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants.

Angela and her family currently live in Murfreesboro where they are active in both school and church activities.

Brenda Sanchez, FNP-C

Brenda Pewitt Sanchez, a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee, began her career in skincare as a licensed aesthetician. Her work with holistic based skincare increased her desire to further her education to better serve her clients. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University. She has been with the Skin and Allergy Center since 2009. As she worked under the supervision of Dr. Chris Robb and Dr. Ben Hayes, increasing her knowledge of dermatology, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at MTSU. She now practices as a nurse practitioner seeing all aspects of general and cosmetic dermatology.

She is Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Dermatology Nurses Association. She enjoys cooking for her family and close friends, swimming, and traveling.

Kelly Taylor, FNP-C

Kelly Hinkle Taylor MSN, APRN, FNP-C, RNC is a resident of Pulaski, Tennessee. She started her nursing career as a hospital nurse over 15 years ago working with all ages from newborn to geriatric patients. She graduated with a Masters degree in Nursing from Middle Tennessee State University in 2015. She manages both Allergy and Dermatology patients in the practice. Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is an active member of the TNA and AANP.

Jamie Wilson, FNP-C

Ms. Jamie Wilson is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in both general and cosmetic dermatology. She became a Nurse Practitioner after graduating Magna Cum Laude with her Master’s degree from the University of Louisville where she began her career. Jamie started working with both family and adults in family medicine when she discovered her passion for both medical and aesthetic dermatology. She believes each patient’s unique features require an individualized treatment plan and prides herself on staying up to date on the latest techniques and training to achieve the best patient outcomes. She is a Master trained injector using advanced techniques to help patients maintain or enhance their natural beauty. She also has a love for medical dermatology treating conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, skin cancer, acne, and other common skin conditions. In her free time, Jamie enjoys biking, hiking, coffee, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog.

Jessica Adams, FNP-C

Jessica Adams is Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, who is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama to begin her nursing undergraduate education at Samford University. After graduating she went on to work at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital as a Labor and Delivery and High Risk Obstetrics nurse. She became a Nurse Practitioner after graduating Magna Cum Laude with her Master of Science Degree from Samford University. She quickly found a passion for treating skin conditions and caring for her patients. She then trained under the supervision of Dr. Ben Hayes.

Jessica currently lives in the Nashville area. She enjoys live music, running, snowboarding, and spending time with her friends and family.

Robbin D. Miller, FNP-C

Robbin D. Miller is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who resides in Thompsons Station, Tennessee. She has been with the Skin & Allergy Center since the company’s inception in 2007. Under the guidance of Dr. Hayes and Dr. Robb, she has built on her dermatology experience and ultimately obtained her Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree from Marian University in 2018 and then her Master’s of Nursing Degree from the University of North Alabama in 2021. In addition, Robbin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University.

Robbin has lived in Middle Tennessee since 2004 but is originally from Texas. She and her husband, who is a Franklin, Tennessee native, have a beef cattle farm in the area and enjoy working with the cows. Her other interests include road trips, making jewelry, vintage cowboy boots, concerts, and spending time with family, friends, and her three Welsh Corgi dogs.
Medical Dermatology is Robbin’s passion and she enjoys helping her patients navigate through the wide variety of diagnoses that can be confusing and overwhelming. Her focus is on the well-being of the patient and guiding them through their treatment options to achieve their best health.

Alli Adams, FNP-C

Alli Adams is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. Alli began her nursing career working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Alli instantly found a passion caring for patients in medical dermatology. She was further trained under the supervision of Dr. Hayes.

During her free time, she enjoys the outdoors with her dog Henry and live music.

Sara Hamlin, LPN

Sara graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. From there she pursued a life long dream to become a nurse. She attended TN Technology Center and received a diploma as a LPN. She is currently in school with Excelsior College to obtain her Registered Nurse degree.

Sara has worked in dermatology for over 10 years and absolutely loves it. She transitioned from clinical nurse into laser nurse at the Skin & Allergy Center. The background as a clinical dermatology nurse gives her the advantage and experience to be familiar with many skin conditions and treatments. She is currently a member of ASLMS and TSLMS. She is proficient in most laser treatments and is a skin care professional. Her role as a cosmetic laser nurse allows her to use her nursing degree as well as her marketing degree and she could not be happier. She loves helping her patients improve their skin and educating them on how to maintain healthy skin. She is also fully trained in injectables and can provide Botox, filler and PRP/PRF injections for her patients.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, and stays busy chasing her two toddlers around. They love to spend time outdoors and playing with their dogs.

Kolonda Jones, RN, BSN, DNC

Kolonda Jones is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing as well as a Certified Dermatology Nurse Specialist. She has been employed with the Skin and Allergy Center since 2009. At Aesthetic MD she performs an array of cosmetic services such as personalized skincare regimens, chemical peels, Dermaplane, Botox, Dermal fillers, BBL, Microneedling, Halo, Moxi, PRP, and cosmetic consultations. Kolenda’s goal is to help her clients boost their self-confidence and feel beautiful from the inside out. She addresses their cosmetic concerns and helps them achieve great results and enhanced wellness. Kolonda utilizes the best cosmetic techniques in the field to yield lasting results. She loves her job and it shows. “Find a job you enjoy, and you will never have to work a day in your life” Her words to live by.
