Dr. Ben Hayes is a co-founder of the Skin & Allergy Center, and his expertise and interest in dermatology are wide-ranging and include general dermatology, skin cancer, dermatopathology, contact allergic rashes, psoriasis, and eczema.

He did his undergraduate work at Davidson College and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Immunology and Pharmacology. He pursued his medical degree at Boston University Medical School, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national honor society. He then completed a dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Finally, he went to the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a fellowship in dermatopathology.

Dr. Hayes is board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, National Psoriasis Society, American Contact Dermatitis Society, and Nashville Dermatology Society.

In addition to his busy professional career, he is married to the love of his life, Laura, and they are blessed with four wonderful children–Madison, Jackson, Annabelle, and Sullivan.
