Moxi laser treatments take 30 minutes or less. You can visit the Skin & Allergy Center, receive your Moxi laser treatment, and then pop back into your car in the time it takes to take a lunch break.
Pain and discomfort naturally vary from patient to patient. Most patients experience a warm sensation but don’t find Moxi laser in Nashville unbearably uncomfortable.
Any heat generated by this treatment is counteracted by the device’s built-in cooling features, though we also offer a topical anesthetic in case you’re concerned about discomfort.
Because it’s so gentle, there is no downtime after Moxi and minimal recovery. Immediately after treatment, most patients experience skin redness. You should avoid using any of your usual products for the rest of the day.
Though you should expect your skin’s texture to be a little uneven for roughly 5 days post-treatment, as old skin flakes off, it can be easily covered with makeup. If able, we also encourage patients to take a few “days off” for a social break to avoid needing to cover up any peeling.
The number of Moxi treatments you require is going to vary from patient to patient. Everyone who comes into Skin & Allergy Center has slightly different needs and skincare priorities. This means each person is going to need a slightly different number of treatments to reach their target results.
Most patients require 3 to 4 treatments (with roughly 3 to 4 weeks between treatments) with Moxi to achieve their skin goals. From there, we encourage semi-regular maintenance treatments once or twice a year.
